About TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre

Our Story

TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre International is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of craniofacial pain and sleep related breathing disorders. Our approach is comprehensive evaluation for proper diagnosis and non-invasive treatment therapies. We provide successful results using state of the art technology and research based treatments.  

Our continuing education courses were developed so more patients could be treated.  By sharing his knowledge, Dr.Olmos could help more patients by teaching others how to eliminate pain and properly treat sleep disorders.

    Steven Olmos, DDS

    Dr. Steven Olmos dedicated over 40 years to private practice—devoting more than 30 of those years to researching and treating craniofacial pain and sleep-related breathing disorders. In 2023, he retired from clinical practice to concentrate on advancing these fields through education and research.

    He earned his DDS from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and is Board Certified in both chronic pain and sleep breathing disorders by the American Board of Craniofacial Pain, the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the American Board of Craniofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Olmos founded TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centres International, which now includes more than 70 licensed locations exclusively dedicated to diagnosing and treating craniofacial pain and sleep disorders. He continues to lead the field by teaching his innovative system around the globe and regularly publishing research on the connection between pain, airway, and sleep disorders.

    Kristina Wolf, MS, DMD

    Diplomate, American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine

    Based in Cleveland, Dr. Wolf has dedicated her career to the fields of sleep medicine and pain management, sparked by personal experiences with TMJ and sleep-related issues. Her search for solutions led to an extensive exploration of dental sleep medicine, craniofacial pain, and TMJ disorders, alongside breathwork, nutrition, and various holistic therapies.

    Currently serving as a professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, she imparts knowledge in Anatomy, Physiology, and Neuroscience. Holding a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and a Masters of Science (MS) in Applied Anatomy from CWRU, she excels in educating patients about their conditions and guiding them towards healing and wellness. Dr. Wolf looks forward to engaging with new patients and sharing their journey towards better health.

    Emily Levy, DDS

    Fellow, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain

    Dr. Emily B. Levy, DDS, FOM, FAACP graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 2016. As the daughter of a dentist, she has grown up around the practice of dentistry and enjoys providing quality care to her patients. She has dedicated much of her practice to the treatment of craniofacial pain and sleep breathing disorders in adults and children.

    She earned her Fellow of Orofacial Myology through the International Association of Orofacial Myology and has attained Fellow status in the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. She currently hosts and teaches a mini-residency format, hands-on continuing education course for the treatment of pediatric sleep breathing disorders, in conjunction with TMJ and Sleep Therapy Centres International. This allows doctors to learn how to integrate treatment for children with sleep breathing disorders into their practice.

    She also lectures for DEKA lasers, in the DEKA Academy courses, on tongue ties and the CO2 laser. She also co-authored an article, “New Possibilities in Aligner Therapy,” detailing the utilization of Nuvola aligners in practice, and she has hosted a webinar detailing Nuvola in practice. Dr. Levy is also involved with TMJ and Sleep Therapy Centres International in future research and protocol development. In her spare time, Dr. Levy enjoys traveling with her husband and three children.
