As we enter the new year, 2023 marks a major change in my life. After 42 years in dentistry, I am retiring from clinical practice. Have decided to make the next chapter of my life research focused to continue building awareness in the fields of Craniofacial Pain and Sleep Related Breathing Disorders.
In preparation for my retirement, I began a search for a dental physician to continue with our mission. It is with great pleasure, I would like to introduce Dr. Brad Sainsbury, DDS, MS as the new owner and director of the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of San Diego. Some of you had the pleasure of meeting him at our Centre Retreat in Scottsdale.
Brad, a Washington State native, received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Central Washington University. He then attended dental school at the University of Washington School of Dentistry where he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors. Dr. Sainsbury practiced general dentistry in Eastern Washington State for fifteen years before returning to formal residency training leading up to a master’s degree in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine at Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. After completing residency training, he achieved Board Certification in Orofacial Pain and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. Dr. Sainsbury is an amazing person and specialist in this field. He is a kind and caring man that I am sure you will all love. I have personally spent the last couple of months getting to know him as we have worked side by side treating patients together.
I will still be teaching my system through the Mini Residency and MNRT Programs (Austin, San Diego, Toronto and South Africa in 2023!), lecturing at industry events, and training and mentoring centres. I look forward to seeing you on the road!
My Sincerest Gratitude
Steven Olmos, DDS
