Epworth Sleep Evaluation

The Epworth Sleep Evaluation is a common tool in sleep medicine used to gauge how sleepy a patient feels. It consists of eight different scenarios, and in each one, you rate how likely you are to fall asleep on a scale from 0 (indicating no chance of dozing) to 3 (indicating a high likelihood of dozing). Once you complete the questionnaire, you add up your scores to obtain a total ranging from 0 to 24. This overall score helps determine if your level of sleepiness might be excessive and potentially in need of medical evaluation.

    In the following situations, how likely are you to doze off or fall asleep, in contrast to just feeling tired? Use the following scale:

    0 = no chance, 1 = slight chance, 2 = moderate chance, 3 = high chance
